The ESEE JG5 fixed blade was designed by James Gibson and inspired by the "Nessmuk" knife carried by adventurer, writer, and early conservationist, George Washington Sears, who wrote under the pen name, Nessmuk. The JG5 bears a similar style to ESEE's popular PR4 and features a black oxide finish, 1095 carbon steel blade. The brown sculpted or chipped micarta handles feature triple screws. The JG5 comes with a stitched brown leather "pouch" sheath with belt loop that is very similar to that of the PR4.
Currently the JG5 is an exclusive to Smoky Mountain Knife Works (SMKW) and only available through SMKW and their dealers and distributors. At this time ESEE does not sell the JG5 directly to ESEE dealers or distributors. Please contact SMKW if you wish to buy directly as a stocking dealer.
